Enslaved out on October 8th

A Namco Bandai representative has confirmed to GamerZines that Enslaved: Odyssey to the West will release in the UK on October 8th on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Up until now the Uncharted-alike action/adventure game had only been given an ‘October 2010′ release window.

The game, which is currently being developed by Heavenly Sword creators Ninja Theory, is set 150 years in the future after a major war on Earth has left humanity fighting for survival against an evil robot enemy.

You take on the role of Monkey, voiced by Andy Sirkis, who is being held captive on a slave ship and must work with fellow prison mate Trip to escape from the ship and venture home. And in true Ninja Theory style, it looks absolutely breathtaking.

Look out for Enslaved on October 8th.
